Hi, I’m Annie and I’m the owner of Annie McBlooms.
For 15 years I was a primary school teacher, teaching children from Kindergarten to Year 6. I loved it. I spent every waking hour thinking about how I could make learning more exciting, more colourful, more vibrant. I loved being creative. As a teacher you try to instil to your students that learning is a life-long gift. Never stop learning.
In 2012, I welcomed the early arrival of my son, Daniel, at 27 weeks gestation. This was followed by a 15 month stay in hospital before getting to take him home. He brought with him a special blessing in disguise. The time that I got to spend in hospital awoken my own desire to go back and study. Daniel was a healthy little boy and so I did. I enrolled in a floristry course with the support of my family and fast forward to 2019, here I am, enjoying every wedding that I have had the pleasure of working on.
Over the past 5 years, I have further developed my floristry skills specifically in the wedding industry and this is where I get to help you. As a bride, I understand that you have a vision, you have been imagining this day forever and now that you are engaged you are about to bring that vision to life.
By now you probably have locked in your venue on the date you and your partner are happy with, you probably have thought about who will be in your bridal party and what colours you would like them to wear. You also have probably been scrolling through Pinterest collecting ideas and inspo pics..
When you make contact with me, send through those inspo pics. They give me a greater understanding of your vision. And even if you don’t have a clue yet as to what you might like, I am full of ideas that are both on trend and future trends. I love brainstorming and chatting with you about different ideas and suggestions and then bringing them to life using fresh quality blooms.
So, let’s get started….
